Place cork tiles in the room in which the installation will be carried out, remove them from the packaging and leave for at least 48 hours to acclimatize and equalize to the temperature.
Carefully prepare the wall surface (base) for installation. The quality of installation directly depends on the quality of preparation of the base.
Prepare a smooth spatula, knife, plumb bob, rubber mallet, velor roller and recommended cork adhesive.
Lay out and, if necessary, select tiles according to the design of the picture.

Make sure that the entire surface of the wall is clean, dry and even, without dents, cracks or bumps.
Make sure that the entire surface of the wall is clean, dry and even, without dents, cracks or bumps.
The base should be as clean and uniform as possible. On the surface of the base there should be no residues of paint, oils, wax, old glue and other substances that reduce the adhesion of the glue.
If the surface was painted or pasted over with wallpaper, then the old paint or wallpaper must be removed, and the wall sanded with sandpaper.
Make sure there is no dust on the wall. Dust is able to form a separation layer between the adhesive and the base, which significantly reduces the bonding strength. Vacuum the walls thoroughly.
The air temperature in the room should not be lower than 18C, humidity 40-65%.
The room should be well ventilated.
Strictly avoid open flames.
INSTALLATION WORKS
Using a plumb line or a ruler, find the centre of the area you want to cover.
Draw 2 perpendicular lines that will be the centre and serve as a reference point.
Outline the position of the first cork tile, finding the best location against 2 axes and starting from the intersection of the lines.
Using a smooth spatula, apply a thin layer of glue to the surface of the wall, approximately 2-4 m2.
Use the velour roller to apply glue to the back side of cork tiles.li>
Let the glue dry for 20-30min.
Set the first tile in the centre at the intersection of the axes. You can first apply the corners of the tile, and then press and finally fix the entire tile.
Use a rubber mallet to tap the surface of the tile, especially the edges.
Continue to install cork tiles one after another in area, making sure the tiles are parallel and that the corners match.
First, set a series of whole tiles to the edge of the wall, then set another row above the first. Installation of the second row should begin by placing the edge of the first tile directly above the centre of the bottom tile.
